The left column lists the "URLs with duplicates," or the URLs that appear in more than one link in the file. After selecting one of the URLs in the list, the corresponding duplicate links are displayed in the "Duplicates for selected URL" panel, which is in the upper right of the window. Check two or more of the links for merging. The merge destination corresponds to the link that is selected (it should also be checked). Click on the "Merge" button at the bottom of the dialog window to merge the checked items. Note that links cannot be edited from the Merge Duplicates dialog, but they can be deleted using the "Delete" button at the bottom of the dialog window. The delete button will delete links that are checked in the "Duplicates for selected URL" panel.
The "Auto-Merge Selected Items" button in the bottom left of the dialog window enables the user to automatically merge duplicates corresponding to selected URLs in the left column. After selecting the URLs to merge, simply click the "Auto-Merge Selected Items" button. Duplicates will be merged into the first link in the file containing the selected URL.
