Restore Default Settings

Default settings can be restored by closing the NetVisualize program and then deleting the NetVisualize.ini file located in the same directory as the NetVisualize.exe file.

To restore specific settings the .ini file can be opened in a text editor and modified by the user. Note that the NetVisualize program should be closed before editing the .ini file. The default values for specific settings are assumed when the corresponding "setting=value" statement is deleted and the file is saved.

Please note that hardware-specific default settings, such as those on the "Advanced" tab in Preferences, are only reassumed when the entire .ini file is deleted. The computer's hardware is checked for default setting specifics only when the .ini file is not present. If a hardware-specific setting is deleted from the .ini file without deleting the entire .ini file, the setting will assume a general default value that is not specific to the computer's hardware.
