Internet Explorer Favorites Export Synchronization
Export to Internet Explorer favorites on exit
NetVisualize will automatically export all links and folders in the current file (if it has been modified) to Internet Explorer favorites when the program is exited, if this box is checked. Depending on the number of links and folders in the NetVisualize file, as well as the speed of the computer, this option may cause a significant delay when NetVisualize is exiting. This is because each link must be saved to disk as an individual file in the Internet Explorer favorites folder.
Export to favorites automatically every __ minutes
If checked, NetVisualize will automatically export all links and folders in the current file (if it has been modified) to Internet Explorer favorites at the specified interval. The time interval is measured from that time that the current file was last changed, and the interval clock is automatically reset every time a change is made. In other words, the automatic export will not occur until the specified time interval has passed without any changes to the file. This makes it unlikely for an automatic export to occur while the user is actively making changes to the file. Depending on the number of links and folders in the NetVisualize file, as well as the speed of the computer, this option may periodically cause a significant delay whenever NetVisualize is exporting to Internet Explorer favorites. This is because each link must be saved to disk as an individual file in the Internet Explorer favorites folder.
Delete existing favorites prior to export
This option causes all Internet Explorer favorites to be cleared out prior to any Internet Explorer favorites export operation, whether automatic or manual. If this option is disabled, NetVisualize links will be merged into the existing set of Internet Explorer favorites whenever an export operation occurs. If this option is enabled, any favorites that have been added to the set of Internet Explorer favorites but not to the NetVisualize links file will be lost whenever an export operation occurs.
Move to Recycle Bin
If this option is enabled, whenever the Internet Explorer favorites are cleared out prior to any Internet Explorer favorites export operation, they will be moved to the Windows Recycle Bin rather than being permanently deleted. This option is only relevant if the "Delete existing favorites prior to export" option is also enabled.
Maintain order of exported favorites (if not alphabetized)
If this option is enabled, whenever the NetVisualize links are exported to Internet Explorer favorites, the order of the favorites will be preserved. However, if either the "Sort items alphabetically by title ascending" or the "Sort items alphabetically be title descending" option is enabled in the Edit tab of the Preferences dialog, the option to maintain the order of the exported favorites has no effect.
Internet Explorer Favorites Location
This preference determines the folder path (directory location) on disk that will be used when exporting to Internet Explorer favorites. Normally it is not necessary to set this option because it is detected automatically. This option affects both manual and automatic Internet Explorer favorites export operations, but it does not affect import operations.
Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape Bookmarks Export Synchronization
Export to bookmarks on exit
NetVisualize will automatically export all links and folders in the current file (if it has been modified) to Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks when the program is exited, if this box is checked. The Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape "Bookmarks location" option should be set prior to enabling this feature.
Export to bookmarks automatically every __ minutes
If checked, NetVisualize will automatically export all links and folders in the current file (if it has been modified) to Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks at the specified interval. The Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape "Bookmarks location" option should be set prior to enabling this feature.
Backup existing bookmarks file prior to export
If this option is checked, whenever a Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks export operation would cause a bookmarks file to be overwritten, the file is backed up prior to being overwritten. The folder location for the backup file is taken from the "Backup Folder Path" option in File Preferences.
Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape Bookmarks Location
This preference determines the folder path (directory location) and file name on disk that will be used when exporting to Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks. NetVisualize cannot detect the location of the Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks file automatically, so this option should be set prior to enabling the "Export to bookmarks on exit" feature or the "Export to bookmarks automatically every __ minutes" feature. This option affects automatic Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks export operations. It is also used as the default for manual Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape bookmarks export operations, although the user is given the option to choose a different export location. This option does not affect import operations.
Opera Hotlist Bookmarks Export Synchronization
Export to Opera Hotlist bookmarks on exit
NetVisualize will automatically export all links and folders in the current file (if it has been modified) to Opera Hotlist bookmarks when the program is exited, if this box is checked. The Opera Hotlist "Bookmarks location" option should be set prior to enabling this feature.
